Project Management allows you to be more agile, adapt more quickly by applying certain patterns to “how things are done”. Project management reduces financial losses by “killing off” poor project investments early in their life cycles, however more importantly in rapidly expanding world of opportunities allow companies to control outcomes of projects, while minimising costs and making sure that the outcomes are more predictable.
Again, depending on your experiences, you may not have realized that project management consisted of all this, and you may not actually perform all these activities as a project manager in your organization.
